Many records smashed as interest in Vintage 1960's Concert posters explodes

A rare Andy Warhol and the Velvet Underground concert poster realized a world record price of $23,575 in an auction held April 9, 2017 by Psychedelic Art Exchange. The poster was independently authenticated and graded by Certified Guaranty Company (CGC) as 9.6 on a scale of 10, and generated interest from collectors around the world.
"This is just the latest in a series of record prices we have seen recently in our auctions," stated Glen Trosch, President of Psychedelic Art Exchange. " Collectors are excited about bidding on these concert posters now that third party authentication and grading is available from CGC."
The auction featured 124 vintage concert posters and handbills that had been independently certified by CGC, the world's leader in third party authentication of collectibles. The auction had a 100% sell through, a very rare occurrence for any collectibles auction.

Grateful Dead Southern Oregon College concert poster 2/4/68, CGC Graded 9.8, sold for $17,262.
Jefferson Airplane Fillmore Auditorium concert poster (BG-222), 2/23/70, CGC 9.6, sold for $13,812.
Chuck Berry Fillmore Auditorium concert poster (BG-55), 3/17/67, CGC 9.8, sold for $817.
Grateful Dead Lake Tahoe concert poster, CGC graded 9.4, sold for $1852.
