This event served as the culmination of all that defined the San Francisco scene in the sixties. Held at the Polo Fields in Golden Gate Park, all of the prominent figures of the day were present. Soon after, Haight Ashbury was descended upon by throngs of young people wanting to experience the “Hippy Scene” and ultimately contributed to the demise of innocence and harmony in the Haight.
