The story behind the poster

The Northern California Folk Rock festival was held outdoors at the San Jose fairgrounds in the summer 1968 and featured all of the top rock bands of the day, including Big Brother and the Holding Company, the Doors, and Jefferson Airplane. The Grateful Dead also appeared, though they were not included on the posters.
