This is the perhaps most enduring image to be born from the Family Dog series, if not of all concert posters. Artists Mouse and Kelly borrowed an early 19th century illustration from the pages of an edition of the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, which they uncovered in the San Francisco public library. That find would eventually come to be one of the most recognized images in rock and roll history.
